Primary 7 Pupils today visited the Ulster-American Folk park as part of their study of the Marita Conlon-McKenna novel 'Under the Hawthorn Tree'.
Having enjoyed the novel in term one, the children had the opportunity to go back in time and recreate some of the famous scenes from the classic famine-time novel.
We had a wonderful day experiencing life in famine-era Ireland first hand.
