Pupils and staff at Christ the King are celebrating becoming the first school in Ireland to secure the prestegious 'Sing Up' Silver award!
The Sing Up Awards recognise excellence in promoting enjoyment and participation of music in Schools in the UK and Ireland. In particular, they recognise how schools:
- consider the value of singing as a contribution to school life, encouraging everyone to be involved
- identify current singing activity and explore ways to broaden it
- set goals that enable staff and pupils to develop confidence in singing and vocal leadership
- introduce singing into the school's goals and planning
