On Wednesday 13th March, Primary 6 pupils, parents and staff participated in the Generations for Peace Programme. Our theme was 'Sporting Traditions' and it enabled participants to explore and share experiences across different sports. Our leader Siobhan began the programme with a quiz about Sport in Ireland and then everyone had the opportunity to learn new skills while playing hurling/camogie and rugby outside. We worked together in four teams and all parents and staff participated as well. At the end everyone came together for refreshments and identified that whilst all sports have different names, they share a lot of similarities. The Programme was a fantastic experience for Primary 6 pupils, parents and staff.
