Education Minister Peter Weir and The Department of Education has launched an App called 'Safer Schools' designed to support you as you keep the children in your care safer online.
This App will provide a range of information on how to make your home and devices safer. It gives an in-depth understanding of Social Media and the benefits and risks of apps such as Snapchat, Instagram and Houseparty etc. The App will also provide more information on inspiring healthy media habits and screen time, as well as raising awareness of scams and keeping personal information safer online.
The in-app Safety Centre also provides up-to-date information on how to block, mute and report anything worrying or upsetting online, from images to comments from online bullies.
