United through Sport
On Wednesday 10th April 2013, Primary 7 were invited to participate in a cross-border, cross-community sports programme organised by Omagh District Council in association with the North West Peace Building Programme.
We set off along with Gillygooly Primary School on the long (2hour!) journey to Sligo. When we arrived we met another 50 children there. We were split into 5 groups and played Gaelic, Rugby, Soccer, Volleyball and participated in a Good Relations Workshop. We had the best of craic with each other and realised that no matter what school we go to, we can all unite through sport. We would like to thank all the coaches for the great day and Colleen McBrien from Omagh District Council for inviting us to attend.
